Feeling confused or, worse, stuck? Considering a drastic change but too scared to go for it? Read this to lay your worries to rest and move forward with confidence, to a better future.
Before we start, a quick thank you for being here and for supporting this blog by liking, sharing and following – it’s very much appreciated!
And now, let’s get straight to the point: radical change – should you go for it? If you crave a better life so much that you’re ready to give up everything you’ve worked for and begin anew, stop for a moment.
You may think by jumping into a completely new circumstance, your life path will turn – away from where you`re headed now, away from what has lead you up to this point, and off to the perfect future.
But what is likely to happen if you just go for it is you’ll spend a while trying to make sense of the new environments, finding faults and benefits, but overall just… living. Living the same old life, with the same old deep dissatisfaction of where it’s going, because even though the circumstances around have changed completely, you haven’t.
The truth can be hard to face, but it’s not the environment that is keeping you dissatisfied with reality – you are. Your core is not asking you to change anything outside of yourself when you’re in despair. (Changes made from despair are likely to lead to more despair) No – dissatisfaction is a warning signal from the True Self deep within. It`s telling you that unless you decide for yourself what you want to see ahead, you’ll keep going forth in heavy fog without a flashlight of hope leading the way, no matter which road you take.
That being said, it doesn’t mean wandering around, trying different paths is a bad idea. If you’re young with little to lose and a lot to learn about yourself, by all means, take that chance! Experience drastic changes! There’s no better way to learn just how strong and resilient you are, as well as what you’re looking for most in life. And even if changes seem to be demolishing your entire foundation time and again, making you unsure of the future, it actually contributes a lot to your happy years ahead by lifting the fog and helping you see clearly what’s on offer, all so that you can make the right choices going forward.
However, if you have something or, most importantly, someone precious to lose, think twice before taking a drastic turn. You’ve worked hard for what you’ve got, why throw it away on a whim like yesterday’s gum? Instead, see how you can improve your current circumstances. Demolishing what you have and starting anew is easy, but with little effort comes little reward. Finding a way to build up on what you’ve got by
1) developing a vision of what your life should be, and
2) using existing resources to bring the vision to life
is truly difficult – but it`s going to be worth it!
Enjoy your journey!
